Check Points ( If not customer specified, we adhere to our Quality policy)

  • Please review our scope of accreditation to determine the suitability of using Alliance Calibration for your specific Alliance Calibration's current scope is available at https://www.alliancecalibration.com/scope.
  • Alliance Calibration's scope of accreditation measurement uncertainties represent best case scenario measurements, many factors may affect a customer's instrument and necessitate a statement of an increased uncertainty.
  • When making a Statement of Conformance, we do not use Guard banding or any other statistical method. We follow the simple acceptance rule. Measured values inside the tolerance limits are considered acceptable and those outside the tolerance limits are considered unacceptable.
  • Alliance Calibration, by default, uses the Simple Acceptance Decision rule with a minimum 4:1 Test Accuracy Ratio to reduce probabilities of false acceptance when possible. Where this ratio cannot be met, further discussions will be needed to determine a mutually acceptable decision rule.
  • Alliance Calibration makes statements of conformance without regard to Measurement of Uncertainty.
  • The customer as the end user of the device submitted is best suited to determine the method, tolerance and checkpoints for calibration. If no methods or checkpoints are specified by the customer, we will use industry accepted standards and/or manufacturers specifications. If none are available Alliance Calibration will choose the method and checkpoints. The methods used are referenced in Alliance Calibration’s procedures and are available to the customer upon request.
  • The order of precedence for methods and tolerance is as follows: Customer Specifications, Industry- ISO, ASTM, Mil-STD, etc., Manufacturer, None Available- no statement of conformance- actual data only.
  • Power cords, adapters, connectors, accessories, chart paper and software must be included with all instruments submitted for calibration. Turnaround will be delayed if all necessary equipment is not provided.
  • Shipping and handling charges apply to all orders shipped from Alliance. Handling charges apply to all ship collect accounts.
  • CMM calibration does not include software adjustments.
  • Surface Plate resurfacing is an additional cost and will be scheduled separately.
  • Gage ID’s can be etched onto gages by Alliance upon request, at an additional cost of $10.00 per gage
  • All payments must be sent to our remit to address: Alliance Calibration, PO Box 62747, Cincinnati, OH 45262
  • Pricing is subject to change upon item arrival and verification of the following: class/grade, quantity, ranges, component replacements (batteries, fuses, etc.), and gage type.
